If anyone has their DW this week and looked at the supplement, Emily Rose from CD is pictured with herself & Ido in running in 'full flight'.  Anyone else in their we know?

Must say there are some lovely photos especially the back cover photo of the 5 GLP's, the Wei in full working bound by Nick Ridley and the lovely LM 'Hi Flyer' (Sire to my terrible twosome!).

I love that piccie of the GLPs too, they are very attractive looking dogs. I'm pleased with how my piccie has come out, so is my dad as he took it :D

Its a very good supplement, is that Tohme's LH Weimie with a whole page and lots of credentials?! Go Twiggy!

Happy Birthday, Emily - by the way!

The photo was excellent, it would put many a pro-photo to shame!  :D

I was going to put something in but as our breed wasn't included wasn't sure that they'd accept it!!  There are quite a few SWD's being worked so it's a shame really.

Are SWDs HPRs though? should they not be in the Working group with Portuguese WDs?

Daughter of mine was apparently pictured in a dog world paper having had a sucessful time in Jersey at the Easter weekend. Sadly havent seen this yet as cant get the paper unless specially ordered!  It was a great weekend of Handling/agility and obedience and great evening fun too.

They are doing very well in the gundog world!!  Quite a few are being worked.  I think that they'll end up as retrievers as they don't hunt out far enough, but I definitely don't want them going in the working group.  The KC have moved us twice to the working group but thankfully a lot of gundog people helped us to get back into the gundog group.

One has done competition work and beat all of the other well known breeds :d  Also a top Lab. trainer has said in the right hands that the SWD would do better than Lab's. which I found to be a wonderful compliment.

Unfortunately I don't have enough time to work my dogs, just do the very basics.

Why would they go into the working group ? aren't they used as as a hunters dog, a fisher's man's dog & for herding ? hardly "working"as per the KC ie guarding like Dobermanns, Rottweilers, Mastiffs etc. Pastoral group at a push but working

Yep they do herd, but actually they are also used as guard dogs :d :d  I suppose that's the problem as they do so much, but as I say quite a few are now doing gundog work and have been for the last 13 years, would be a shame for them to try and move us again!

Yes, I can see you might, she does look a little handy. :D Does she make the tea too ... ?

What a fabulous list of achievements, much as I love my dogs I can't begin to imagine the rapport you must have with Twiggy.
