there are a lot of backyard breeders in my area.

one lad i know has 3 bitches all are pregnant!

he has no idea who his jack russel bitch got with. he aparently just lets her roam out when she is in season and this is her 4th! yes 4th litter.

he said she may of mated with a spaniel that roams near his area.

i have to admit i only really know about horse breeding. in horses the sire must not be much bigger than the mare or you can have birth problems.

is this the same with dogs?

Yes it is. An overlarge sire can not only severely damage the bitch but also the puppies can be too large for a straightforward whelping.

Aw that poor girl and the owner doesn't careless i think i'd be reporting him the size of a little jack russel the prat, give him a piece of your mind and tell him that dog needs spaying as soon as:mad:

Why don't you just "borrow" her when she's roaming, get her spayed and then let her free just outside his house again!!

I have done this numerous times with ferrel cats we used to catch them in a trap(nothing sinister) then a charity I was in touch with would have them spayed but then release the adult back where they came from and find homes for the kittens if they were young enough.
