Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Puppy milk?
- By Engbull03 [in] Date 05.05.06 18:12 UTC
Hi

My pup is nearly 9 weeks old and we have had him for nearly a week, we took him to the vets for his 1st injection and they gave us a 'puppy pack' to take away with us. I was reading through the booklet last night, and they recommended that you give your pup some puppy milk to help him grow, strengthen his bones etc. Is this true? Do any of you use puppy milk? I would like to show him so only want the best for him!

Any info would greatly be received!
Thanks

Pups don't actually need milk after they are weaned, they would nto naturally have it after abotu 12 weeks in nature, and most bitches woudl not be allowing pups to suckle after this age.

Generally I ahve found that pups once they no longer need milk will start to react to it by being somewhat loose.
