hi do any of you give your dogs supplements ? if so what do you give and why thanks dawn

Hi, I give my bitch Aloe Vera mixed in with her food.Why, because it is fantastic for animals... from helping with healthy joints, wonderfull coats to generaly keeping her in tip top health and condition. It is a natural anti inflamitary/antiseptic so it is also great to give dogs if they have dodgy stomachs(soothes the condition) or put on cuts and grazes.

I use flaxseed oil/cod liver tablets and omega 3 tablets.(and not all at the same time!) Not every day usually when i remember but should re-read my barf book. Seems to be ok as I have had a lot of positive comments about my dogs coats.

Does that help at all?

Actually anyone who has better ideas about doses I would be grateful for!

I've heard that garlic tablets keeps fleas and worms at bay, is this true? Also how ofen to you give them it? Once a day or with every meal?

They only get one each day with heir one and only meal :) Not sure about the worms but I am convinced it works for fleas and ticks :)

I have given Restore in the past which was excellent but am at present giving them SA37 .

we suppliment with cod liver oil and then a mix powder of kelp, alphalpa and nettle. The rottie also gets some joint suppliment.

Mine get fresh garlic clove daily except when I am travelling then they get Garlic and Fenugreek tablets, EPO, FBO (I won't feed CLO because I would be in danger of ODing on Vitamin A and D), Vitamin E, Vitamin C, one gets Easygreen one gets Keepers Mix.

My dogs get:

A mix of oils i have mixed up myself,fish oil,epo,clo,safflower etc etc 3-4 times per week.

A few times a week they get Royal jelly,shark cartilage and spirulina
