Topic Dog Boards / Feeding / Pup's stomach churning noises !!!

Hi, we have an english springer spaniel pup around 12 weeks old, lately her stomach has been making very loud 'churning' noises...we havn't changed her food but she does go into the garden to play & likes to chew any sticks she can get hold of.  She is on dried food from the vets & Winalot puppy food, her poo's are quite regular & alittle sloppy.  Has any one any advice on why her stomach should make such loud noises ...I do think she has quite a sensitive stomach, but there are so many foods out there its so confusing.  Thanks to everyone.

Maybe you are giving her a little too much food if she has sloppy poos .
Not quite sure I have read the question right ? are you worried she may have eaten something or is it empty belly noise?
is she on 4 small meals a day ??

hi, she's on 3 meals a day, her belly makes loud gurgling noises most of the time, but more often after she has eaten.  I am just worried because they are so LOUD, I've never had this problem with any of my other dogs before.

Hi,
You need to feed much smaller and more regular meals, 4 or 5 times a day until she's older and then down to 4 for a several weeks then 3 etc. She has a tiny tummy and it's doing overtime.

hi, thanks to both of you......I think I'm trying to hurry her up to feeding her twice a day, forgetting she has such a tiny belly.  I am used to much larger dogs........I'll go back to the 4-5 a day, & hopefully that will settle her down.  Thanks again.
