do you kiss your dogs? I do, more than I kiss my OH and he knows it! some people think it is discusting

have to say no. i am one of those people who finds it  a bit discusting. however much i love my dogs (and i do more than anything) they never get kissed except on their tops of their heads. nowhere near thier mouths thanks. :)

I kiss mine but don't let them kiss me near the mouth or anything!!  Though Lana and Anton on times when you are talking do end up jumping up and giving you a French Kiss, YUCK.  Carmen also is a licker  so as she's the half sister of Anton it must come from their mum Lana :d :d

Oh I do kiss their heads, but don't allow them to kiss me, and thankfully they are not a lickylicky breed.  One of mine does those little sniffy kisses where they don't actually touch you but give little affectionate sniffs.

Yep I do kiss my dogs on the top of their heads and they kiss my ear/cheek...Lovely! 

My girl gets kisses on the top of her head, and she knows it means love!

I kiss mine on his neck or head and he pushes his head towards me to get more kisses. He licks my face and hands in return,as he is healthy I have no fear of catching anything.

All the time - I think my dog is probably more hygenic than a few of the men I've kissed :-D

humph! mine doesn't 'do' kisses...she ACTUALLY pulls her head away if I try and even kiss the top of her head!! Luckily she does do cuddles though!! If, on the very rare occasion she suddenly decides to plant one on ya, at least you know she means it!!

i kiss all of my dogs on the side of the nose all the time they love it and i get kisses in return

I get beardie hugs from  one of my girls and kisses from the other when we say 'she's kissing me' she goes faster and kisses you even more .

I kiss my boy on his muzzle all day :-D he is so gorgeous and comes over for his daily kisses, i never get them back on my face as I don't allow that, although he would freely give out a nice french kiss all day too

i wouldn't put my mouth anywhere near nippers! only i know only too well the utterly disgusting things he puts in it! also, i've got this thing about preserving his doggie dignity - the only "babies" i've ever had were my two sons! - and while he's a very companionable and loving little chap who likes nothing better than a curl up close to me at the end of the day, he's also got a self-containment i find very attractive.

i admit to landing the very occasional kiss on the top of his head, mind! which he accepts with a look that says "hey-ho, she's having a gurlie moment, best humour the old dear"!!

dare'nt get to near the face...he is an accomplished french kisser! I avoid the tongue like the plague, knowing fine well how much time he lavishes on cleaning his pride and joy 'crown jewels' :rolleyes:

Mine love a big squeeze and a hug especially if we,ve been out in the rain after I,ve finished rubbing them dry I end up wetter and dirtier than them , it just is not possible to be posh in my breed I,m afraid :rolleyes:

I give mine smackeroonies on their throat and cheeks and they do tiny licks at my ears  eeew! :D :D   wouldn't want them licking my face, makes me want to hurl which is what they'd really like I suppose :D :D

Yep, afraid so - I know it's not hygienic but so far nothing awful's happened! I kiss them, and they kiss me on the nose. I don't let George kiss me often as he's usually eaten something disgusting in the park though.

I make it a rule never to kiss anything that can lick their own bottom!

lol @ Jackyjat, have to say thats my theory too :D :D.  Jazz is definitely well loved and he does enjoy a cuddle, but kisses no way .

Oooh no kisses are not allowed I see what they eat and what they lick and so they are taught at a very young age 'no licking' :)

I however give them kisses on their heads and their jowls and tell them they are scrummy :D

i kiss mine-top of heads, ears, nose-unless they've vommed, eaten something vile, or have just licked their / eachothers, bits.

I kiss my dobe, (lots) and he gives me a kiss, I say "kiss" and he sort of nudges my face with his nose.  I also give him a big hug and squeeze!!! Love him!!!

I kiss the top of my RR's head as it's like velvet - but I would never let his nose/mouth near mine, I mean, he licks his bits - that's too revolting for words!!!

Always, but its horrible when our Annie gives me a full wash on the face,ears, nose ,mouth we even get foot washes in the middle of the night.

I kiss mine all the time, and get kisses in return. Effyh is an acomplished french kisser, unbelievable how long her thounge is :-D I've always kissed my dogs, and loved the kisses I've gotten in return. Some dogs don't dole them out indescriminately, they are the ones you appreciate the most :-p
At an early stage in my dog-owning life, I decided to ignore the fact that they sniff disgusting things, eat even worse objects, and wash their private parts before they kiss me. And it's a fact, I'm still alive, and also well and very fit, so it can't have been having any ill effects on me. Not yet, anyway ;-)
