Did the breed club champ show today....the boys did well and the show was lovely. However the highlight of our day was the Junior handling.Kim is 12 so now competes in the older catagory(12-16 yrs old). She won her class and the best junior handler overall....with 2 lovely big trophies to keep for the year.
She was also 'spotted' by a visitor from USA who is a very successful breeder/exhibitor over there for many many years who has offered to take Kimmi to the states to train her as a proffesional handler as she says she is very talented and could do well over there

You don't have to tell me Barbara!..I'm shocked.I know shes good but when a stranger makes a comment like that its a real buzz!Shes off for a few weeks hopefully to stay with Gill in the holidays for some 'training'....and we'll see how we go from there.
Thanks for your kind words everyone....win or lose shes my little star....but its nice when others agree too!

That's great news and well done!!!

One of the top Irish Water Spaniel breeders thought that I was a junior handler a couple of years ago and told my mum how good I was :d :d  Think she needed some new glasses but if Gill wants a more mature looking junior handler I'm available :d

Wish your daughter all my luck I'm sure she'll have a brilliant time.

On a similar note I was pleased as punch with my Veteran Junior Handling dog (when she was pup to 3 years of age) who I lent to the winner of the younger category.

it was a great day for her as she won the Veterna bitch (7-9) years class, and was second in Brood bitch :D

You could really send her in on her own though  :D
