I recently posted about grooming my cairn. He had been to a local groomer before but the results were disastrous. I booked him into a different one but cancelled at the last minute. I have been trying to hand strip him myself but have no experience really. Does anyone know of a groomer who is experienced in handstripping in particular cairn terriers? I live in Nuneaton in Warwickshire but I don't mind travelling a little way. Thanks

Sorry don't know the area but it might be worth ringing the secretary of your breed club and see it there are any members in your area who would be willing to help. :)

There seems to be very few groomers who know the correct ways to handle different coats.

Could the breeder of your dog help? Hand stripping isn't that difficult and can be done on your lap watchinhg the box but the hair will be everywhere!
