Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / no sign of season, but dogs going mad for her.
- By wolfwoman [gb] Date 27.04.06 15:15 UTC
my yougn bitch puepa in on her first season. my second young bitch lupin is yet to start her first oen yet.
puepa showed signs she was comign close to her first season a week or so before it began. during her season we have met up with castrated dogs (usual friends). puepa has not shown any intrest. and even when the castrated dogs become a bit excited. puepa dosnt let them near her.

now lupin is not showing any signs of coming into her first season yet, and she dosnt look to be in season either.
yet she is attracting the attention of all dogs. even bitches.

the other day an entire dog we ussualy walk with, tried to mount lupin, and she let him try. althought he did not do anythign other than moutn her a few times.

is it possible for a bitch to have a season with otu any swelling, bleeding or behaviour change?
if so then what do i do?

the obvious answer woudl be to not take her out either. but she has been this intresting to dogs for a few weeks now.

your dog obviously smells of your inseason bitch and will attract dogs and bitches, she could also be heading for a season as bitches that live together often come in together or one after another

what i cant understand is why castrated dogs are fidning luping more intresting than puepa. if lupin smells of puepa, why isnt puepa more attractive?

Even though Lupin is not showing signs of a season she could well be in season just not very obviously.  I would be very warry of entire dogs mounting her even if it looks as if nothing has happend.  Lots of dogs become pregnant following breif encounters of only minute or so. It pays to be vigillant if more than one dog is showing an interest.
