hello everyone

i am new to this forum and hope you can help me . my 1 yr old lhasa apso has been acting really weird , she nicks my socks and licks them all night after hiding them in her bed and hiding food in her bed .
she isnt spayed and is due on season ( this will be her second season ) and has been swelling ever so slightly for the past two weeks . she has also started growling at my kids and OH if they try and move her off the sofa . i am the only one who can touch her . i saw  my vet who sayes its normal and she is in fine condition and she will grow out of this
she is normaly such a placid dog and just wondered if it due to her coming on season , having teenage tantrums or is she just a bossy so and so .
thanks in advance

my girls have different temperaments when due or in season one is overly  friendly and loving especially with my husband  whereas the younger girl having only had one season gets very grumpy and bossy so I would imagine they differ from dog to dog.

thanks for repliing and putting my mind at rest .

i posted this query on another forum and they said it sounded like a phantom pregnancy and then came on champdogs read all the forums on the subject and didnt think it was .
i thought she had PMT but thought i would ask as everyone on here seems knowlegable.

I am not saying it isnt a possible  phantom I have to admit .I only described the behaviour of my girls during or before a season.

I'm sure others with more experience than myself will give you more information on this .
