Our sbt was playing with his sausages on a string toy from pah and the top piece of string has disappeared

We can't find it anywhere and assume he has eaten it

He seems normal and happy running around will this do him any harm do you think??

Hopefully you will see it re-appear as it where.. from the rear end!!
just keep as close eye on him .
Thanks Starryeyes it hasn't reappeared as yet but he has been going to the toilet and acting normally so hopefully all will be ok...

Perhaps take some tissues with you on walks as when it reappears it may not come out completely ;) :D

Ahhh - the highs of dog ownership :-D
All these things you have to look forward to with Earl ......
Hi
My staffie did something similar recently. She somehow managed to rip open one of my birthday pressies and ate some of the shiny string stuff that was around it before I could get to her. Anyway, needless to say I watched her every move and she delivered the sparkliest deposit I've ever seen!

:-D
Just keep a close eye on te situation and have your tissues at the ready!

My mums BC once ate the net which sometimes holds a joint of meat together. She rushed to the vets and he said to just wait and see.It came out the next evening and looked like it looked like it had been bleached

One of my big Greyhounds grabbed a plastic freezer bag with a rib bone in it from my hand and it went straight down his throat. Bag appeared later, but no bone!

mine as eaten everything it can get hold off cotton wool, pegs pens and lots more only thing is never seen it come out the other end
We had a dog years ago that ate a whoopie cushion and didn't realise until she had a poo and saw the pink bits!! she also managed to poo a twig. Luckily my male goldie is a little more fussy with what he puts in his mouth, and will drop sraight away.

Good luck with the string. If it's anything like when my dog ate couch grass and another time something with human hair you might be in for fun. I watched with dismay as my confused dog was running then crouching trying to poo the bit that was dangling by the grass and then the other time by hair. Each time I had to catch her and had right trouble keeping her still long enough to grab the offending dangling poo

Didn't use tissue, but had my hand in a bag.
One of ours stole a bag of glitter confetti stuff you can put on tables. It ripped open and all five of them were having a sniff. Didn't realise any of them had eaten any until next morning - 5 very pretty sparkly poos

Well we have watched him religously each time he has gone to the toilet and no string

Either he chewed it up into little bits before he ate it or he is bloody good at hiding things and didn't eat it at all...

Good to hear your stories and thanks for all the advice :D
