i would use the soaked puppy food mixed to a porridge with Puppy milk! I have had great success with this method, as young as from 12 days old, when mum seemed to be struggling to provide enough!

Thanks for that,
i'll get soaking now,i bought pedigree chum complete yesterday so i'm ready. the pups are doing really well they are 25 days today and weigh 4lb 9oz and i dont think they are getting enough of bonnie as they seem to be hungry all the time, but bonnie is gettting a bit fed up with them, as i think they hurt her now they have got teeth.

Ahh poor Bonnie;) Glad to hear they're thriving- have you decided yet which one you're keeping? And have you got an owner in line for the other one?

Hi stacy,
were keeping kizzi, mum and dad who just live around the corner from me are having kali so we can see her everyday and so can bonnie, there doing really well, playing and jumping around everywhere, and there still in our bedroom so i can keep an eye on things, they wake me up every morning as soon as it is light with a dawn chorus.there really scrummy i'm now dreading the day kali goes to mums as i know bonnie will miss her.oh well it could be worse she could be going half way round the country. wev'e had a few people enquire if were selling the pups,we hav'nt advertised it's just word of mouth, kids talking etc.and you should see some of the people( i wouldn't let them have my goldfish let alone my dogs ).

That is a real problem with Staffies being so popular, and especially with the wrong sort of people! I bet your glad she didn't have a big litter!

Whenever I breed I always hope to not get more than 4 to 6 puppies! When I had a litter of 9 once people thought I would be really pleased, but I would rather have had half that many! Actually I have averaged out just under 6 pups per litter (reared)!
