Topic Dog Boards / Showing / CID online entry

Has anyone used the CID online entry form?
I used it recently and although the entry was confirmed on screen I haven't had an email confirmation. I tried to email them to confirm they'd received my entry, but that bounced back a few days later.
Just wondered if anyone had the same happen.

Hi

I used CID online to enter Bath Champ show.
The information you send to enter your dog goes to a server in Germany, it then comes back to the UK (as far as I'm aware) and is then input by hand to there show cataloging/whatever system.
If you recieved an email back from joy.robins@ecisonline.org  with the subject Entry received, that is your confirmation of entry, print it off and keep it.

I have telephoned on a couple of occassions and been told that BT has caused problems with there fax and email (but the telephone works fine) and that they are in the middle of moving premises.

Wasn't very impressed and will certianly think twice before I use them again for an online entry.

Regards
Joan

Thanks Joan

I've spoken to them and their internet connection is still down, so they don't know what entries they have had online yet. They will hopefully be sorted in a few days and are ringing me back.

I only used the online entry as I was last minute, as usual, and I wasn't impressed with the whole process either. The lady I just spoke to didn't inspire me with confidence. Fingers crossed they have my entry. Won't be using them again if I can help it.

Higham Press and Fossedata's online entry are a lot better, though I begrudge paying £1 admin charge when surely it makes their life easier. Higham Press seem to have just started charging extra as well. At least you know they have your entry as I don't usually get to the post office for a proof of posting.

CID rang yesterday to confirm they have received my entry :-)

Hi Sweetiepie

Glad to hear your minds been put at rest.
They still have't taken anything from my account for payment, the longer it takes the better for me. lol
I think as long as everyone done as they said and printed a copy of the email recieved there shouldn't be a problem.

Regards
Joan

I wasn't impressed at the layout of the online entry so decided to go back to pen & paper.
I won't do an online entry with CID in the future.
