Some go 'mental' some get depressed and become sedantory thus fitting in with what the owners wanted (or didn't want) from a dog :rolleyes:

Understimulation has been proven to inhibit normal brain development and activity. :(

we've got a little active terrier- had hip operation 2 months ago, she goes for one 30min/45mins walk in the day-most off lead. then frequently after i finish work i'll take her for a half hour walk after 6 ish. this is plenty for her, and on weekends we will go on walks up in hafren forest- exploring all the smells and sounds.

i find that she requires equal balance of physical and mental exercise- not just physical, thats only half of it. when she was weak- we did more training and playing so to keep her active.

she also has a huge garden that she rules with the cats, but cant be left unsupervised!digger.....
