Hi Pam, What are you looking for, hotel, B&B, motel? I used to live just outside Darlington, but am about 40 miles north now - still know the area, and am sure I can recomedn somewhere to suit.

Hi Gwen, Well as I am a nightmare at getting lost preferably something close to the grounds so thought better to book as early as possible.
My freind and I will be travelling with 2 dogs..1 each so anything that would take the 2 dogs also in their cages of course. We would probably share a twin room somewhere to keep costs down as it is just for a head down for the night.
We are going to start a showing bank account to start budgeting our travelling as we are up in Fife and it stops the hubbys moaning.
Any help at all would be great..I don't know the area at all..
PS never answered yoru question , any of the above at all prices being the factor unfortunatly.

I should be there on Friday and Sunday, watching TTs and PBGVs Friday, and with the 'Yankees' Sunday.
Oh, and Pam, busy collecting a nice little list of hotels etc for you, will give details tomorrow.

Pam, Ok Prelim. hotel details here - closest to the showground if the Blackwell Grange Moat House, literally opposite one side of the park where the show is located very nice hotel (4*). Scotts Corner Hotel (part of the Quality group) is located about 7 miles south of the show, directly off the A1M, I think thejudges are staying here again this year. Travelodge at Scots Corner - on the other side of the roundabout to the hotel, usual Travelodge things, accepts dogs. There is another Travelodge about 20 miles further North up the Motorway as well. If any of these sound interesting to you I will e-mail phone numbers if you need them - otherwise let meknow and I will dig around for more.
