My mum and dad live in Spain and have just got a lhaso apso pup. I just wondered if anybody had experiance of insuring dogs abroad. They've been getting her vaccinated and sorting out flea/tick prevention and it sounds like the vet costs over there are pretty similar to ours- expensive!

Would love to hear from anyone who has any tips. Meanwhile I'll start my own research on the internet.

Depends on the area your vets working in, I`ve a country vet whos clinic is in a small, not touristy town. It borders on the countryside & he has farmers/country folk as clients so his prices reflect that ;) :D I know some up the coast are very expensive tho :rolleyes:

Insurance hasn`t taken off that much over here yet but its getting there slowly Liz, if Pollys friend doesn`t sort you out I can give you whats in the dog mags if you like :)

Christine- they are living in the region of Murcia- Los Alcazeres- popular with a lot of ex- pats and Spanish too.. so I suppose it probably will be on the more exensive side.

Mum and Dad are, as you probably already guessed, pensioners so it'd be good if we could sort something out.
