Anyone got April ..I ordered it with my kennel name but havent recieved anything so not sure what date I can actually use my kennel name from. (I recieved it on 9th March)
They told me it would be published in April edition and if no one objected they wont contact me and I can use it .....Now does that mean the whole of April?????????????

Hi.....you didnt tell us what your kennel name is ?....i have the April gazzete here it says .......any objection to the printed names must be lodged with the kc in writing within 4 weeks of this publication.
If the name is used before that 4 weeks is up they withold the right to revoke the kennel name and all registrations.
So the way i read it is that if you use it and someone complains they can revoke it, dont know if that means you would have to pay all your registrations again but i guess as all the admin would be the same i suppose they would charge you!...probably better to wait rather than get charged twice.

Just a little warning with regard to affixes.  I noticed an ad in the Dog World for RR pups with an affix just one letter (3rd) different from mine.  I was horrified - the KC had allowed it.  I contacted the advertiser and explained the situation - they had only recently moved to the UK and weren't aware of my affix, and told them I would be contacting the KC to ask them to cancel that affix.  The KC did this, but I'm not sure of the time scale from when they'd applied for it as I don't get the Kennel Gazette.  I couldn't believe the KC had let it through and they didn't even apologise.  All that money I've paid to "protect" my affix!!
