Well Berry has her 1st green star .
She was beaten for the B.O.B a three yr old dog .
The judge said he will follow her career as she is a beautiful girl but much too young for to send into the group . Mari .:D :D :D

Well thank you all . I do not expact that every show , but its a nice start.
I think there will be a lot more sharpei for the next 5 shows , as it is the irish circuit and lots of adult dogs will be present from england scotland wales and jersey. I will be satisfied with placings as she is a baby and placings is good enough for now . I think she needs a bit more time and will be a lovely mature girl next year
Mari LOL
Hi Marie, excellent news, no stopping you two now then eh :) Who`s more pleased then you or dizzy? LOL

Well done Mari, one down four to go, when are you coming over, Midland Counties or LKA? Ja:)kie

Jackie :) ,
Its one down and loads to go .
Sharpei are in the minor breeds and so the points are hard to get to make a major . guess what You guessed it when a good dog comes out the rest stay home.
System 40 points must have 4 majors each worth at least 5 points .
A person I know has a finnish laphund with over 80 points no majors so it is not an easy ride .
Still we will plod on and you never know I might jusy arrive over there at a show one day and tap you on the shoulder , lol Mari :D

Mari, I'm sad, don't your breed suport you and turn up to help? Get out their girl whilst the English invasion is on, their there so don't see them staying at home. Wish you all the best in the next few weeks and hope to see you over here soon after that. Ja:)kie

The nicest crowd of exhibitors I ever met are the bullmastiff people . I have to say they are the best . They love the breed go miles to visit a new puppy and wish the owner well. no jealousy of a good dog winning and always come out to help each other win .
If you read the sharpei board you would see what a nasty lot some of them are. It is unbelievable , you would think there were angels posting her :) if you read it :d.
The sharpei here are very small in numbers so all need to come out to keep the green stars . If they dont the green stars will be lost .
I dont think they realise that .
The carlow show in september has no green stars for sharpei
secretary told me no point in giving them and have the judge stand there with nothing coming in , so they are gone
Still there is always the circit next yr god willing and she will not be a puppy then .

Hey Mari I agree with you about the Shar Pei people, but they don't scare me:D It's such a shame when people don't help one another out

Mari!
Congratulations! It is great to see that you and your dog have done well! I am so glad especially as you have been so nice explaining the green star thingy to me and as the sayimng goes 'what goes around comes around!' Anyway Duke got placed second in the Junior Dog Group in the Dobermann Club of Ireland Show in Dublin! I am still shocked! I never expected to be placed as it is only Duke and I's second show. I really wanted to go to see the breed standard to compare them to my cutie, however now I know he is acceptable I will be showing with a vengence! The National Show Centre in Dublin is class, it was the nearest thing to crufts that you can get this side of the water. The other Dobe Owners seemed friendly too! It was an excellent day out for us all.
Once again I am so glad to hear of your success
