I meet a lady today with her Lab whose nose,is dry and cracked. She is putting vitimin e on it,But the dog keeps licking it off.Would anyone know of anything else she could use. Her vet has told her this is  hereitary. And both the Sire and Dam are carriers of this condition.
Can anyone throw any light on this condition.

I had this same problem with Tiva and I was told to use that same stuff you put on cow utters, works like a charm... Can't remember the name of it for the life of me.... Maybe do a search on here...

dont think you can beat vaseline ..

What about the Neutragena (sp?) barrier cream for badly chapped hands.  I used it when my hands were badly cracked and it is extremely resistent to water

I agree with Starryeyes, Vaseline should do the trick and won't do any harm.
