Hi guys, Ebony my 5 month old had green discharge with blood in, she's been the vet had an antibiotic needle, we had to go back the next morning to get a course of antibiotics but the vet didn't really know what it was she thought it maybe cystitious.  l haven't seen any discharge since she's been on antibiotics but i was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this?

Regards Susan

It would seem very young, but my worry would be Pyometra.  does it ahve an offfensice smeell?  If it is just a pale greenish mucous and she is licking then it could be cystitis or vagiitis.

The latter quite common in prepubescent bitches ans seems to self reslve after their first season, though may need antibiotics if troublesome, but it genrally returns until the bitches have their season.

Hi Brainless, i to was worried about pyometra the vet doesn't seem to think it is this because Ebs responded to the antibiotics and picked up but if she didn't pick up after the antibioitics she was going to xray her she seems to be okay now after the antibiotics there's no foul smell just light green with abit of blood in and she seems to be cleaning herself alot:confused:  Thank you.

Regards Susan
