Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can find statistics relating to dog ownership? I'm particularly looking to find the cities with the highest dog ownership numbers. I've tried google but can't seem to find what I'm after.

The RSPCA web site estimated ownership in the UK to be 7 million dogs but I must admit I have never seen it broken down into cities or even areas.  Perhaps if you emailed them they might know, I can't think of anyone else who might have the figures except perhaps the BVA.

I think the Pet food manufacturers are more likely to have better statisrics,b ut even then it is all guess work.  Even with a Census every 10 years we still don't know how many people live in the UK, let alone dogs :D
