Is anyone else unable to access the landywoods website? My screen freezes when trying to load the page. I did a search on google which came up with a different address for them (must be older though I think as it says they have moved), but with that I get a 504 error. Would they send a catalogue out if I phoned them? Just wanted an idea of what they sell and how prices compare to elsewhere. Anyone possibly have their phone number to hand..?

Thanks :D

PM me for the website URL. If you still can't access their site then their phone number is: 01889 577772 The price list is on their site and they also do it as a PDF so they should be able to e-mail it to you. Their prices are listed per pound and at first glance they appear to be a lot cheaper than AMP but if you work it out they aren't although the difference is pennies. They don't appear to have a minimum order value though, AMP do and unless you have a lot of freezer space it would be hard to store it LOL

I think their minimum order is £50.  I much prefer their meats to AMP, you can get whole minced chickens and lamb which means all the bone is still there and all the offal where as although AMP say their food contains bone I doubt it also contains the offal and you cant be sure how much bone.  Also landwoods do a fab offal mix which is so handy especially for me because mine wont eat raw kidneys and liver but they will eat it minced up in an offal.

Landywoods food is also stinkier which means it must be better ;)

Hi ClaireyS,

Thanks for the reply :) When you say whole minced chickens do you mean that you could feed that as a RMB meal in the same way you would feed chicken wings as a RMB meal, or not because it also contains offal..? Still a bit confused about all this :D

Glad to hear good feedback - they started delivery in my area this month so placing an order for the April delivery - look forward to the smells!!

Hi colliemad,

Thanks for the info. I've tried two different urls - The first I got from a link on here, which is the one which tries to load and comes up with Landywood Pet Foods in the taskbar but then my screen freezes. Thanks very much for the phone number though. Am planning on scanning the papers for a cheap second hand freezer :D We already have 3 ridiculously enough, but they are only small ones on the bottom/top of fridges. Not too sure I would want to mix raw meat stuff up with our food anyway - I remember reading a post on here once about someone's icecream having a decidedly tripe like hint to it, which they hadn't even noticed until they had people over who commented on it  :D

I would feed the whole minced chicken as a rmb meal as it contains enough bone with the added benefit of offal :)

I ordered some breast of lamb from landywoods, thought it would come minced as the boy I want to put weight on doesnt "do" effort so wont eat bones, its come actually on the breast bone so now im cooking it so I can scrape it off the bone and boy does it STINK   Im a veggie so im not used to the cooking of meat smell and that is damn strong, would be so much easier if he would eat bones

The things we do for love :D

The only rmb meal I've tried my boy on so far has consisted of chicken wings which he loved immediately - after stalking, circling and then pouncing on them a few times :D I'm a veggie too although getting quite excited now about the thought of all these different meats etc he's going to be tucking in to once I have everything worked out. Rather you than me in regards to scraping lamb off the bone though!

wasnt the best job, but hopefully it will get some weight on the boy and he did love it!  I love feeding mine raw, its really pleasing to see them enjoy their food so much and being able to plan the different things you are going to feed them each day.

i found breast of lamb good for putting weight on, they only cost £1.50 from the butcher, and being human quality smell yummy cooking!

I think that would depend on your idea of yummy, the stuff from Landywoods would smell exactly the same as lamb from the butchers - a lamb is a lamb after all ;)
