No responsible Stud Dog owner would even consider mating a bitch at such short notice!!!

They would want to know your reasons for breeding, ascertain if your bitch is of a sufficient standard to be bred from, and whether her pedigree is compatible.

Breeding carries a lot of responsibilities to your bitch, her puppies, their new owners, and the breed. It should not be done on a whim. You will have a lifelong responsibility to any puppies produced, not just for the time until they are sold.

Also the costs involved if it is done properly will be into four figures! There is Hip Scoring, Eye testing, Stud Fee, Equipment and Housing for the Pups, Food and Veterinary care. Not to mention a lot of time and effort!

Why the urgency?,surely you need a dog compatible with your bitches breeding how will you do that in ten days?
I feel that you may be rushing into breeding without sufficient thought of hereditary problems you may create by using the wrong dog to your bitch.
No stud responsible dog owner will allow you to use their dog if your bitch is not of suitable standard and has not undergone the health check Hips eyes etc..
And you need to go to a decent stud dog or why would you want to breed.
Puppy buyers are becoming more educated now thank goodness and wouldnt probably be interested in dogs from NON hip scored and eye tested parents.

I am new to breeding , but when i decided iwould give it a go,the first thing i did was pick a breed i liked,extensivley research the breed and decided wether it was the right breed for me, and i was the right person for the dog.Then i searched around for a breeder,and got to know all about hip scoring, eyes, and everything else you need to know, and built up a great relationship with the breeder.then waited 12mths for her to have a litter,and then waited another 3yrs to breed from my dog,when i thought she was mature enough and ready,Please think things through and do all your checks before you go ahead for the dog and pups sake.I have just had a litter of 2 with a section and other vet bills as my bitch was not well after it has cost me nearly £500, there is a lot more to it than just putting two dogs together.
