my dobermann pulls a lot when on her lead and we have been advised to use the stop pull harness as we have tried almost everything else. I have looked on the internet and have found hi control stop pull harness and kumfi stop pull harness, i can't see the difference in them except for the price! are these the same thing? im confused!

we brought a Mikki walkrite training harness at crufts - and lots of places sell them online - definately a great help!!
In fact I've just ordered the next size up for my little girl, at the very reasonable cost of £8.50 (including postage)
I did see an extra large one on ebay - unsure what measurements are for that though.
Sorry I'm unabe to advise on the makes you asked about.

We have the Hicraft stop-pull harness from Pets at Home and it enables me to walk our Luke - hefty Lab - with confidence. You still have to persevere with the training, though - it's not an instant solution - but it's a good strong harness, Luke is happy with it and it gives me much better control. HTH. :-) :-)
The Hicraft Hi Control and the Kumfi Stop Pull are the same design and principle...The Kumfi Stop Pull has furry protection pads and the Hicraft Hi Control has padded material protection pads that stop the harness from rubbing under the dogs legs...
I have one of each for my dogs... Ordered the Kumfi Stop Pull online found it worked for one dog so bought the Hicraft Hi Control from my local Pets @ Home for my other dog.

As it's for a dobe I'd look at whichever harness has the better protection - not much fur under those armpits! I can't use anything like that with Remy, his armpits are almost bald and he gets nasty red sores from anything under there, even normal walking harnesses.
For my determined lad (who's been pulling, or trying to, for all his 3 years) I use a Walkezee - it's the only thing that's worked, and also the effect has transferred to my Halti harness too, and occasionally to just a leash and collar. The only glitch I've had with the Walkezee is that I have to use it upside-down - it's a step-in harness, but I put it over his head. The chest strap isn;t low enough to make a difference on him otherwise!

I asked the Kumfi inventor if anyone in my area stocked his leads and he told me that he licenses his product designs to Hi-Control.
thanks for your replies! I thought they looked pretty much the same and the photos looked like they were the same lab on them too.
Will order one today, hopefully it will work as i've tried haltis, gentle leaders, check chains, half check, normal harnesses etc. Shes just too stubborn!!

The stop pull won't prevent pulling as such - but will direct the energy upwards so you can't really feel it and you are not pulled along (or shouldn't be anyway).
I used a harness such as this for getting from A to b, and clicker trained or similar for actually set-aside training sessions. I believe that trying to train whilst also trying to get somewhere is not easy as it's very hard to do - I learnt the hard way and now set aside training sessions which is better, hth :)
Oh, and good luck

I use a walkeeze harness for mine. They are lovely and work the best of all i've tried, plus they are humane which is the most important thing for me. :) They also have the big plus of not being able to be pulled off or wriggled out of!
