My cocker Max did not greet me as I came home , only the other 3 were there .Max was behind the bushes and only came when called for , which is not normal .
He keeps crying every 10 mins or so and trying to get comfortable ,but from what I can see he seems to have a pain or discomfort with his rear body . I have poked and prodded but cannot find any specific area of pain.
he lays down then gets up, cries and trys to find a comfortable laying position but seems to hold his rear up more than normal whilst in a laying position .
I have been told that he vomited earlier on , about 2 hrs ago .
I checked his anal area for cactus etc and his privates but found nothing .I can although only locate one testicle ¿
please answer with any advise , the vet is open at 9am here

I would ring the emergency vet rather than wait as you can never be too careful :)

I presume you are not in the UK with the mention of cactus :)

I think this calls for a trip to the vets asap..........better safe than sorry

He is acting almost like a bitch about to have pups, he is up and down squeeking now and again and cannot get comfortable.
As he was sick earlier could it be a stomach complaint like colic ¿
I live a long way from the vet .

Max is ok now , last night the vet could find nothing wrong with him except the jacuzzi going on in his intestines . He thinks that he had eaten something horrible from the garden and was suffering from cramps . He gave him an injection to relax his muscles and asked me to phone him this morning with news .Max slept with me and his tummy gurgled half of the night but he slept, I was waiting for a nasty explosion from him but I was spared !
I am going back to see him on monday though because his testicle has not come back down , he is full of life as normal though .

very brave of you to have him sleep with you with that sort of possiblity on the cards gald hes on the mend, dont they worry us.
