Hi,

I am planning on buying puppy this summer.. I have had a Yorkshire Terrier myself and experience of many other breeds but I'm still unsure which to go for!

I would greatly appreciate some info on dog shows (particularly toy) that are coming up this year as I think attending one of these would give me a greater insight into all the breeds before i choose the most suited to my life!

Any help would be great..

Hi Jane,
I don't know what area of the country you're in but the UK Toy Championship dog show is being held at the County showground in Stafford on 25th March.  This is the biggest Toy dog show in the UK and I'm sure you'll find something of interest there :)

There may be a minimum charge for spectators on the door but you don't have to book for tickets.  Just turn up on the day :) I haven't got a schedule but judging probably starts at 9am (or maybe 10).  It'll go on til at least 3pm but if you get there for about 10am you won't go far wrong :)  If you want more information the secretary's name is Tom Mather - 0151 4863570.  Just don't ring too close to the date coz he'll be incredibly busy ;)
