MY YOUNG BITCH HAS COME INTO SEASON, SHE HAS BEEN BLEEDING FOR 6 DAYS NOW. HOW LONG WILL SHE BLEED AND DRIP BLOOD FOR?

It depends - mine have always bled for the full 21 days of the season. With some the discharge becomes paler and more straw-coloured during the second week, which is generally the most fertile time. Make sure you keep her away from all other dogs for a full month to be on the safe side - don't even let her go into your garden unattended.

A bitch's season usually lasts for approximately 21 days.
Although at the time of ovulation the bleeding can subside for a few days (my girls doesn't but I know of bitches that do) but she must still be kept away from all males until the season is fully over.

My bitch came into season and bled for just over 20 days, it got a little messy so when we were not in we kept her in the dining room which has wooden floors and easy to clean. We tried using those hygene pants, but they really didn't work with her as she has not tail to keep them on. I used a pair of my old pants so at least she could come in with us when we were at home.
