If you are going to rear them on a processed food, most of the major manufacturers supply puppy packs.  You then personalise them with any extra information that you want to give.

i make my own puppy packs up,

i buy a plastic box and lid and put everything in, peice of bedding, toy, food for about a week, and all the info they will need, and the relevant docs of course!  and any other freebies i may get go in too

i print out any information that is important, i give my own little set of instructions (ie worming dates, vac dates, the times they have been getting their food, ect) plus a snap lock sandwich bag of food (so they can wean the puppy of what i have been giving and put them onto their chosen food if that is what they want to do ) the pups favourite toy, the pups food and water bowl, collar and lead, The last week the pups are with me i have them sleep on a blanket which i then cut up into the right amount of peices so each pup can take one piece (i also rub each piece on mum before the pup goes) I give details of local vets in their area, also me vet, ofcourse the pups micorchipping info and papers.

i find with all of this stuff and the smell that they will have on them make the transition into the new home alot easier for both new owner and pup

Wow chels5 & slee!  What breeds are you in cos I'm getting a pup from you just for the puppy pack ;)

When we got our then 7 month old little girl we got a bag full with 2 toys, her "favourite" bone (which she very rarely even sniffs haha), a food bowl, her vaccination record, pedigree, KC change of ownership doc and contact details for the breeder :)  No food though cos I'd already asked what she was on and had told the breeder I'd bought some

I've also included some pictures of the chosen puppy from the day it was born until the time to leave (ie 8 weeks), together with a picture of the mother and sire.

I do pretty much what Slee does; with pic's, contact number and email addresses, also I put a blanket over the cage when the pups are first moved into it from the Whelping box and give a section of it to the new owners so they have the smell of our home with them when they leave.

All the best

Should have mentioned the Puppy Contract with everything they should need to know for future reference and KC Papers .

We have a 'scrap book' for our puppies, with photo's of mum and dad and the puppies as they grow.  We also put info in about specific puppies - one of them is a regular little Houdini and we have put in tales of his escapes in his scrap book.  We give prospective owners a book on the breed when they come to choose their pup, and the puppies will go with food, blanket and toys.  We also have an 'advice sheet'.
