I was wondering IS there any actual difference between and english and british bulldog, as ive heard bulldogs referred to as both and in pictures they dont look too different. However when comparing my english bulldog with my friends bulldog, mine has a larger snout and a slightly longer legs (although its hard to tell as hes still growing) ie more terrier, whereas his is shorter and has a smaller snout.
Im asking as in the future i may want to use him as a stud dog.

This is the only Bulldog recognised by the Kennel Club.  To be honest if you don't know any of this you are far too inexperienced to be considering mating dogs.  There is such a lot to be learned before you can even begin to contemplate whether your particular dog is suitable to offer as stud assuming he passed all the appropriate, recommended health tests and proved himself worthy by competing against others in the show ring.

this is not for now but a few years down the road as he is only a 3 months old now. My friend who knows ALOT more about bull breeds than me and also has a bulldog says he is a bulldog but with more terrier than pug in him, hence the nose, he also has alot more control over his tail than his.
So what your saying is i must show him before contemplating studding him

I think I would just go to some shows first and have a look at what people, who really know the breed, are putting in the ring and judges are awarding places to and then see if you think your dog is in line with the concensus then by all means have a go yourself assuming his is KC registered.

In the states the Bulldog is refered to as the English Bulldog, in the UK it's just 'Bulldog'
