at one time had terrible trouble with bitches skin it was always red under her tummy and she was always scratching and chewing at herself changed her food to chappie c/rice and she has wafcol vegitarian dry .She had a litter 12 months ago skin cleared up a treat but her under belly featering is pink.Someone said it,s because she having to much protein Any ideas welcome on what i could try

my daughters dachshund gets a red rash on her tummy , which she scrats at too. when she had puppies her rash cleared up too. we  experimented with foods , etc but not much change. anyway , after a lot of thinking , we realised it happened after walking through fields. turned out she is allergic to grass !! cleared up when she had pups cos she just walked round the block for 6 weeks !!

Your dogs fur is probably pink due to the licking,saliva discolours the fur.If your dog chewed on his paws the fur there would be discoloured too.

Are you still feeding a vego diet now ???
