finally got the whippet x yestoday he is the most frendly dog ever you would think he has been living at my nans house for years but i need some advice about his skin it is very dry and on his tail it bleeds when he wags it to much the lady who rescued him has given us quick stop to stop the bleeding but dont reckon that that is going to help his skin and on his face the hair is very fine and bald in places am going to get some royal jelly shampoo from groomers to bath him in can anyone elce recomend anything or what do do about his tail?

I would advise taking him to the vet for a once over. Skin problems can be very difficult to diagnose especially on here. If its bleeding when he wags it then it must be very sore and painful and definatly needs treatment.

it has not bleed yet it is just really dry it dose not look cracked or red or painfull but he is going to the vets for a once over

Definitely a trip to the Vet as baldness on the face can be many things, including mange. I'm saddened but not surprised that a rescue homed him in such condition.

val can u recommend a good shampoo to bath him in?

I wouldn't recommend anything until the Vet diagnoses what the cause of the baldness is. :(
To be honest, I wouldn't have accepted a dog in that condition. I hope that it doesn't turn out to be a liability instead of the asset that you were hoping for.

ok then

on his face he has one bald patch and on his tail he has bald patches going all the way down it looks like wat ever he had is healling well but we are still going to take him to the vets they might give him some malasb shampoo

A bald patch on the face .... I think that a trip to the Vet is a good idea. :)
