Hello, my name is Kourtney Kostroski, and not to long ago I bought a Weimaraner. He is only five months old, and we took him to the vet about last week or so. And his glands on the side of his face and under his chin are swolen, he is now on antibiodics. But, my question is, do you have any idea what this could be from? Or if this is a very serous situation? Could it be cancerous? Because I know that these type of dogs can get sick easily (or I have been told, and read.) and I am really worried about him, and if you could just get back to me about this I would really appreciate it. I hope you understand what I am trying to ask. Thank you for your time, and I hope you can get back to me.

Welcome to the forum Kourtney.
Did your vet not give you any indication at all, as to the probable cause for the glands swelling? Is your puppy ill in itself or are the glands just swollen? Does it have any other symptoms? We do have lots of weimaraner breeders on this site and I am sure that they will want to ask you more questions, so you may need to register with us, so that you can answer their questions.

First things first though ... do not automatically think the worse and panic :-)

Sorry to hear about your dog not well.
First of all you should talk to your vet further.
He is the one that should put your fears at rest
to the health of your puppy. If he does not then
he is not doing his job properly.
Their can be many reasons why your pup as swollen
glands. Some diseases, some allergies, I doubt at
5 months he has got cancer.
