Hi everyone

Right, here goes, I'll try to tell you everything relevant! We went away for a week with our two hooligans, stayed in a b&b with them in our room, in Cornwall. I 'frontlined' and wormed both dogs the day before we left, just incase!
On saturday, we visited by boyfriends Aunt and her two Parson Russells, and the four dogs had a run around in fields and undergrowth/woods.
Yesterday we drove home, and though had all the fans on, the car was pretty warm :( When we got home, I noticed a few little lumps on Morris's legs, some with scabs, some with little black dots on the top. These seemed to increase in number ( whether because he was scratching and licking so much??) but today they are on his tummy, ears, neck, sides, and four or five on each leg  I'm not sure what they are, but have ruled out fleas due to frontline.
Thankyou in advance for any thoughts or advice, I'm off to sooth him with cool wet towels for now,
Emily

Could it be some sort of hayfever .... grass allergy ? Can be very common in dogs ... which is sad cos running in grass is what they love!

Perhaps Heat rash??? My mom always called it 'Prickley heat' when us kids got the same thing popping out on us.

Also, there might have been small nettle plants growing in the woods and undergrowth, that can cause the same thing. Then licking it would make it worse and cause irritation to spread. At least you don't have poison ivy to worry about over there in UK :) :)

Cool washclothes sound good. Also if you have something like neosporin or another type of rash ointment if they don't start going away. Dogs will want to lick it, best to tell them not to, although Samma has yet to ever get sick from lotion of any sort
good luck,
toodles

Thanks for suggestions, they went down slowly, and we think they may have been caused by the gors bushes on the cliff path, which he was in and out of sniffing for rabbits!
