I have a weimaraner coss lab nearly 6 months who is 22'' to the shoulder & weighs 23 kg, one of his brothers is 25/26'' to the shoulder I know that all cross breeds vary in sizes as this proves! but I just wondered if this if a normal height for a weimaraner at the same age, as I can't remember how big my weimaraner was at that age. Just curious to what size dog i'll end up with :)

Dunno, I never measure my dogs and the only time they get weighed is at their annual checkup or when worming. Also as dogs grow their fastest during this period it is not necessarily an indicator of their final measurements. Growth slows down dramatically between 6 - 12 months by which time they have reached their zenith in height, ie their long bones stop growing, but then they fill out according to genetics, food and exercise.
Big puppies can often end up small adults and vice versa.
Some of my Weimaraners have grown upwards really quickly, looking very odd, all legs and quite skinny before filling out at around 12 months. Others have taken a more steady approach to growing, but have all reached the correct height eventually. You may find that your dogs brother does very little growing upwards now and yours will soon catch up.
I suppose the size is something you wont really know because of being a cross breed dog. Do you mean to the withers or shoulders ?
An adult female can reach 25 inches to withers. I have seen some way under this and some way over this. So you never quite know.
Dogs are always larger than bitches anyway so dont worry if the male is bigger. Puppies normally stop growing in height from 12-14 months. Depends how mature they are really. Then they fill out anything from 9 months to 3 years. Again depending on maturity.
What does your dog look like to look at? Does she look like a Weim or lab, I expect she is chocolate colour ? If not what colour is she. I am always interested in cross bred Weimaraners.
Someone close to me breeds Weimaraner cross German Shepperds, and again someone close to me breeds Weimaraners cross springer spaniels. I have seen a Weimaraner cross springer in the vets, and he looked like a Weimaraner in head shape but stumpy body. Thats they only way I could describe him. One lady I met at the Royal Norfolk show said she had a Greyhound cross Weimaraner, she said it looked very much like a Weimaraner. I am not sure what colour she said as I have forgotton now.
