can anyone add a bit of light to this stituation, i have 2 bitches and 1 dog all entire. In december 1 of my bitches (poppy) who i mated with my stud dog had her first litter, all well, the pups left feb with no adverse effect on mum. she was a fantansic mum wont hesistate to use her again. Bitch number 2 (masey) had her last season end may 2005 i did not breed her, but hope to bred her this season. At her last season she did not seem to swell much but had quite a lot of blood. Anyway that gives you a bit of back ground. The problem is evber since the last pup went my dog keeps getting excited and mounting poppy, he did not do this while the pups were here, but as soon as the pups left he as been dancing around and she has been flirting. she is not in season and it is too soon for her to be coming into season i have bath her several times just in case she as rolled in some other bitches urine. any suggestion as to what is happening, also back to masey why as she not come into season yet and anybody any suggestion as to why!! i have never experienced this before!!

If the pups were born in December, presumably the bitch was in season in October, which means it is now coming up to almost 5 months ago -so she could very well be coming into season again. Just a thought!
She could also have an infection, which also can send a male loopy:rolleyes:
see seems normal around her vulva no discharge and she is not licking it excessively she also had a caesarean last time so was on antibiotics, see as been examined by the vet a week ago for her annual check up and booster, may be worth another visit
i thought of that but she has no signs she usually swells quite big but no swelling and this as been going on for a couple of weeks now, he never used to mount her before only when in season. he previousley only seemed to be interested when she was in season. it tends to be at night as well she usually goes 8 months between
Hi Sharon, it's worth another check at the vets even if it's nothing, it will put your mind at rest. Good luck Susan

One of my girls is due her season early April she is getting sniffed a lot by males in our training class and one tried jumping her and he was only 9m old this happens everytime about a month or so ahead ...you know what males are like!

One of my girls is due in season in April too, and for around 6 weeks before they get a lot of attention from my other GIRLS!! They are obviously giving off a scent of some sort, so you girl could be doing the same.
