Yester day I had a call from a local lady who had a bitch with puppies she had dispersed five of them god knows where but said that she hadnt fed Cleo for three days as she had no money and was amazed that Cleo wouldnt feed the pups (they are seven weeks old) I decided to help as the RSPCA didnt want to know,Cleo is a pathetic sight thin as a rake and all her hair on her hind quarters falling out could be a rottie cross but medium sized very kind the pups are brindle coloured could be staffie types can anyone help at all cleo is in the boarding kennels we use for lab rescue and the puppies in a cosy stable any help would be gratefully received
we are in the North West (Lancashire)

That's very sad, please let me know what you need by way of bedding, food, worming/flea control, toys etc. If you send me an e-mail donnamwilliams1@excite.com with a list and your addess, i will bundle a package up for you.

I can unfortunately not home one of the dogs as I breed Pekingese but will look for suitable homes and will help provide any neccesities you require

Hello,

I noticed your sad story and i am looking for a pup as a best friend for my lonely Staffie and for me. The only problem is i have 3 weeks off a christmas and that is the only time i can get a pup so i can spend time with him in his new home.

I live in West London and have been looking for a pup for a while but they are all ready too soon. Please let me know roughly what size you think the pups will grow to, i know its hard, will it be the size of a Staffie?? i would really love to help and give one of the pups a loving home, what is going to happen to the Mother???

Regards
Suzi

I wouldn't mind travelling, my parents live in Lincolnshire and i travel so see them once every month or so. I can offer a loving home for a pup for life, my Saffie is 3 years old very loving and needs a friend, but if you think you can find homes locally thats great.

I'm appauled that the RSPCA did not want to know about this poor ladies difficulties, to say nothing of her dogs, would they have rather waited until it became a possible court case? I do hope not.

re:rspca approx 15months ago the kennels where I board my rescued Labs had to take in for the rspca 22 small breeding bitches from a kennels not far from here these bitches were westies & irish Terriers they were absoloutly appalling matted coats encrusted with faeces ears & feet infected etc one little bitch was due to whelp any time anyway the upshot of it is that after much TLC and care they began to look like the dogs they should resemble and the court case went on and on and lots of people were visiting the dogs with a view to adopting them taking them out for walks even buying them a christmas stocking counting the days till they could have them when they were eventually signed over to the rspca anyway now the courts have ordered the dogs to be returned to the appalling owner who is not fit to have them the reason well simply because the Rspca left a few oldies with her when they raided the kennels and due to this fluke the dogs are going back and the prospective adopters ? they are heartbroken and so are the boarding kennel staff who have cared for these dogs for so long so I'm sorry I neither have faith in our legal system or the RSPCA. at least I know these little ones are safe with us there will be no time limit and we will make sure they get super homes thankyou for you kind interest.

What a terrible story, so sad.
How awful it is when you cannot have faith or trust anyone in this world now.
I know the RSPCA have rules they have to abide by, but I cannot help but wonder if a lot of the inspectors have become so hardened by their work that they have lost sight of why they applied for the jobs in the first place.

I have to be honest I've totally lost faith in the RSPCA small rescues are often asked to take dogs refused by them, yet they make a drama out of rescuing a swan for television,we once took intwo eldeley labs whos owner had died she had left them her money and her house and we ended up with her dogs they didnt want them.anyway off soapbox now LOL
