Yeah :D   got word today, that a friend and I have got the go ahead to run our own ringcraft classes....

Have I forgotten anything?

Got the mats, insurance,  Hall, kettle tea bags etc....

Because it is being run as a club (Annual membership fee, plus weekly per dog/pup) ....do we need an elective committee? No-one seems to be able to confirm yeah or naigh

.........Members :D

I have belonged to several 'clubs' that charged annual membership and weekly fees, they were not KC registered or run by a committee.  They were also the best clubs in my view.

Good luck with your new venture.

lol, yes Sandra, we have a few 'members' lol   We all go to a ringcraft which at the moment is a 3hour round trip for us, plus a couple of hours there etc...making it a very long evening, especially for the younger pups...plus needing dog/pup sitting cover for the ones left at home....

When I initially though about doing this, I made sure we would have enough support to make it worthwhile

Sounds all good Kay. Well done.

The committee is entirely up to you but if you wanted to make it a bit more formal you could.

I suppose if you did have an informal kind of committee, it would help as you do need a treasurer and also to open a bank account with 2 signatories - good luck.

Good Luck KayC.   I was at our ringcrafts AGM last night and on the "expenditure" is £18 Kennel Club, so I presume this is for "affiliation to the k.c.".

Remember to have your first AGM as well.
