- By Beckyess [gb] Date 14.02.06 14:46 UTC
I don't know why they haven't said that if you don't turn up we will continue your trial in your absence. They do that in this country!

It seems to me that even after being over thrown,he is still dictating.

He is laughing at all of us.

He's probably doing an Ian Brady and has a secret stash of creme eggs.
- By marguerite [gb] Date 14.02.06 16:29 UTC
Well lets hope he doesnt suddendly remember how to eat !!!!! better for everyone eh!!!!!  I know what I would like to call him and its not for this board.
- By justlou Date 14.02.06 17:08 UTC

I agree with you Justlou, Let him starve.
- By Melodysk [gb] Date 14.02.06 17:32 UTC
LOL I was surprised to hear this on the news the other day ...does he REALLY think it will make a jot of difference? Then I got to thinking ..if he karks it from starvation, won't it make him a martyr in the eyes of his followers? :(
- By Blue Date 14.02.06 21:44 UTC
I am not convinced he has as many followers now but I know what you mean. I think being honest the guy has genuinely been insane all along BUT don't tell anyone as they will them section him instead of hanging him ;-)
- By Carla Date 14.02.06 21:48 UTC
I watched snippets of the trial on C4 tonight where he told the judge to hit himself on the head with his bangy thing :eej:

There was another one of the prosecution witnesses who said that his statement was nulland void because he wasn't wearing his glasses when he signed it.

They are just trying to make a mockery of the whole thing - and its working!
- By me_n_pero [gb] Date 14.02.06 21:49 UTC
OHH maybe his follwer's might follow in his footsteps. Not the evil stuff, just the starving to death :D
- By denese [gb] Date 15.02.06 08:18 UTC
I wonder if his followers realise that he is genuinely insane??
- By guiness [gb] Date 15.02.06 13:34 UTC
:rolleyes:He probably is insane but is death the way to go?I dont think so.I dont really believe that any man has the right to kill another,in war or other wise.I think he should be force fed and kept alive to face what he has done.He should be made to know what hes done is wrong and how it has affected people. If hes dead then thats the end of it for him and hes got his way.He no longer has to face reality.
No man has the right to take another mans life.(in my opinion :) )
- By Beckyess [gb] Date 15.02.06 14:50 UTC
I'm with you guiness. You should only take a life to either eat, prevent suffering or to prevent yourself from being killed. If he genuinely is mentally ill then he needs to be treated as such.

they should make him eat!,:mad:don't get me wrong i can't stand him but why should he be allowed to take the easy way out, let him pay for what he's done, the people who's lives he has destroyed should get justice.
- By guiness [gb] Date 15.02.06 17:19 UTC
Its a sad world when people say the only way to get justice is to kill a person.People wonder why i keep pets and i spend alot of time helping out rescues, well i think you have an answer.Taking one life does not make up for all the kives this man has taken let alone the lives he has destroyed. Its not just those he has killed but the families of the dead they left behind. :(

The English army has acted no better, the Americans too.The latest pass time over there is physically assulting the captured prisoners. Its getting stupid, sick and depraved now.Why cant they leave the poor people alone? Alot of them have not even committed any crime but are tortured for their beliefs. It angers and saddens me to hear of this kind of thing.I didnt even know about the hunger strike till i read this thread as ive gone past the stage of wanting to watch the destruction of people on the news. :(

>The latest pass time over there is physically assulting the captured prisoners.

I believe it is a tiny minority that behave in this way, the majority of soldiers out there seem to be going about the task of helping the country rebuild itself.  It's just a shame that this sort of behaviour gets so many more column inches.

Hi,
I think that saddam will NOT be made to take his punishment, as the judges
ect: all get threaten by his followers, and fear for there and there familys lives.
While he lives, I think the problems will continue for the ordinary people.
I do suport our troopes out there, that are trying against all odds to give them the
freedom we all have, I am pleased that Mr. Tony Blair had the guts to make a decision!
It is all so easy to critize. We havn't had our familys all killed by Saddam.
Could WE really let it carry on happening? and bury our heads in the sand.
YES! I agree some times the media send us unpleasent phot's of troops doing
unexceptable things. BUT! they must get fed up trying to help them
then all the local teenages stoning them, Which one of us would stand it! and
for how long! I just hope its all sorted out soon and bring ALL our boys and Girls Home.

Do you mean the recently-released shocking video? That's 2 years old? If the owner of that video had any morals at all it would have been handed straight to the Military Police for action, not to stir up hatred against the troops who are currently there, and may not even have been in the army when that outrage happened. It's put innocent lives at risk.

Thats what i mean about people making poor judgements about others. Its irrelative when it occured,it did and it was wrong.I am ex forces and my husband is in the forces now so i know how hard it is for them at times like this.My husband was suppose to be on leave when the war broke out but he didnt come home.I didnt find out where he had gone for a few days after. The few spoil it for the many and thats how it is with everything in life.
My 14 year old son offered to carry a pentioners shopping home the other day and the old lady clung tightly onto her bag like he was going to rob her.Another case of being judgemental. It happens and it shouldnt. Not all people are bad and not all are good. Some soldiers are bad and some are good and the same goes for the iraqis.
- By denese [gb] Date 16.02.06 12:18 UTC
Hi,
What would you do if you had one mad dog that kept killing all the others?
You tryed everything, but! it still kept getting out and still kept killing it's own kind?
For NO reason? What would the answer be!!      p.t.s.
