Okay, first of all I don't want to hurt anyone's feeling if you're using one of them things, but I think it's a bit silly. It is probably okay for an older dog that can not walk (though they could have made it bit less like children's push chair ), but for a normal, energetic dog that's full of live it's ridiculous!!
http://www.thepamperedpup.com/shopping/kws-pet-stroller.htmI have a Chihuahua and I'd never ever walk him around in one of these. He wouldn't like it anyway. He walks around 5km every day and is all muscle. That's how I like my dogs. Energetic, full of stamina and ready for action. And that's what keeps every dog happy and healthy!! Well, just my point of view......
Here's one more:
http://www.kyjen.com/pettravelgear/new.shtml#h2oonthegoI can't imagine going to the city with this ....LOL.... I don't think my OH would want to be seen with me!

Ahh but there is always a place for them.
For instance there is an old lady near me, who has an elderly Sheltie which was attacked by Bull Terriers about two years ago. The Sheltie lost a leg and has had reduced mobility since. The lady can't carry him about but they still like to go for a little walk and to the shops and such like. The Sheltie sits quite happily in a childs buggy and is pushed easily by the old lady. So one of these would be great for that sort of thing.

As I said.... if there's a good reason for it! If it's an old dog that can not walk, if a dog is injured like you said. That's why I mentioned all these things before saying it's silly ;). I was ONLY talking about people that use it for no particular reason when I know for a fact that's it's very unhealthy for a dog not to move at all. They are after all dogs, not plants!

If getting one of these astonishingly priced things is for the sole purpose of keeping a healthy young dog from walking then yes, it'd be a ludicrous thing to consider.
However, I also know an elderly lady with the most delightful 20 year old terrier who loves his walks but can't now manage the distance that her younger dog thrives on. So Timmy wanders along at his own pace very happily until he gets tired and then hops into the old-fashioned child's pushchair she brings along for him. He's got a warm cushion in it and can enjoy meeting his many doggy and human friends so his quality of life is all the better for it.
So yes, there is often two sides to every tale - or should that be tail? ;)

Ha how funny is that. I once saw this women pushing a push chair whilst I was walking my dog, when I got closer I realised it had a yorkie in it no baby! my dog looked puzzled! Since then I've seen her riding around on a bike with it in the basket. It can walk though as I seen it! why are people so strange?

Definitely not the same lady, dannii! Not least because the lady in question is a little mature for bike riding herself and Timmy only uses the pushchair because he's reached the grand old age of 20 which I think entitles him to a rest every now and again. He's also not a Yorkie!
- what do you think about that dog carrier- legs out one! think its a step too far, if i saw someone with one of those in use i'd have to look twice, you'd think they were carrying some sort of mutant dog baby! wierd...its on the second link down a bit..

Yeah I saw that! Actually, as I said before I'm more of a "real dog" person, which means I like my dog walking and running and that's the way it's always going to be unless he gets seriously injured or becomes old. I know I own a Chihuahua  and some people might think he's being some spoiled, pampered little yapper....well he is very spoiled, but we don't treat him any other way than we treated our Labrador or our Staffy before him. He walks, he runs and he goes mountain climbing with us.
I do however have one of them carriers (just a very plain one) that I use in case I take him to the bus, but he's not happy to be carried around.

My friend bought my baby stroller off me about 6 years ago to push her english bulldog pup around in, she wanted to take him for a walk when she took her other dogs so he didn't feel left out and she didn't want him walking because he didn't have all his jabs yet, which makes sense.... We thought that would be a great idea and who would no I saw it at the petstore about a year ago, wish we did something then :(
