just looking on another website as i do i was looking at the pomeranians and under the category is a dog the owners are calling a Klein Spitz is this another name for pomeranian cause i looked it up just to see for myself (with no help) but it says it a german spitz so im kinda confused :S

It is a variety of a German Spitz.  The Klein is the small one, the Mittel the larger one.

so its not a pomeranian then??

No. The Pomeranian is a different breed to both the Klein and Mittel German Spitz breeds.

Let a person that comes from a country where most people speak german explain ;) .......Kleiner Spitz is a Kleiner Spitz (Small Spitz) and Pomeranian is a Zwergspitz (Dwarf Spitz). They are a different breed. Similar but different. Poms are smaller and more fluffy. If you see both breeds together you'll see the difference...... check them out on some dog show . Both beautiful breeds!!

And Mittel (middle sized spitz!) are larger still. :)

And then there's Deutscher Wolfsspitz which happens to be my favorite ;) .

and I always thought Mittel and Klein referred to the colour :rolleyes:
