Hello
Does anyone know if 'Choice Nutro' does animal testing ? I have looked on a few sites but can't find any info.
Husband has just bought some but don't want to open it until I find out:confused: Looking to do a change over of food
Thanks

Why don't you ask Nutro themselves?  I think you would need to diferentiate what testing is or isn't acceptable to you before you put it to them though to be sure you are both talking about the same thing, for instance you might not have any issue at all with physical measurements such as blood tests being done.

Iam not sure, but some sort of tests you would need to have to make sure the food is healthy for the animal...
I my self use Nutro Natural Choice lamb n' rice and my dogs have been doing great on it.

Hi
I have e-mailed them with my questions but no reply as yet.
I have a Dobermann and at the moment having a few problems with his skin. He has come up in alot of spots and his skin seems really dry. I have spoken to a few people that have used Burns and a couple of them said it didn't do their dogs coats any good so I'm going to have a try at a different food. I have had Nutro recommended to me by a good few people with Dobes and this is why I wanted to give it a shot.

I would phone them as they seem not that quick on replying to their emails.

Nutro is an excellent food.

Friend of mine had a dog she couldn't get weight on. She phoned them and they were very helpful. Food put weight on too

Hi,

I feed my Dobe girl on Arden Grange - she does really well on this and they say the only testing they do with their food is to try new flavours out on their own and employees dogs.  :-)  They are a BUAV approved food.

Hi
I e-mailed a couple of people who are against Animal Testing and they did a check for me and both of them said they couldn't recommend Nutro. They gave me a list of food companies that would be basically what I am looking for. I have now made a decision and ordered Arden Grange...Fingers crossed he will be o.k on this.
Thanks for all your replys

Hi Karen
Is your bitch a black or brown? I only ask as my boy is a brown and at the moment having a few problems with his skin. I am hoping this food will help. I telephoned Arden Grange today and spoke to their nutritionist (excuse the spelling) and explained my situation with his coat. She was really helpful and has advised for me to use the Salmon one and then to give her a ring and let her know how he's getting on. She said I should really notice a difference in about 3 weeks.
I bet your girl is adorable I think they all are but little devils when they want to be!!! ( well thats my experience)

Hiya,

She's black and has touch wood great skin and her coat looks like it's been shoe-shined :-) . Although when I first got her she was on proplan and did have a few pimples around her chest area then, nothing bad though.  Browns do tend to be more problematic in the skin department, hopefully if it is to do with his diet this food will sort it out for you.

Yes Ciara can be little tinker at times but then what pup can't be?  I wish I could have half the energy she has :-)  How old is your boy?

Hi Karen
My boy has just turned 12 months and he is a right little so and so at the moment grabbing anything he can manage to get in his mouth!!
We had a brown before and we did have a few problems with her coat but they cleared up as she got older. My blacks well their coats were as you said your Ciara'a coat is..never had any problems at all. The vet has said it is probably partly to do with his age and it should clear up as he matures.
I really hope this food helps as we want to show him and at the moment I don't feel his coat is really up to scratch.
