can any one help my 6 month old shih tzu only sleeps in crate about 3 hours we go bed about 12 she is up barking 2 get out about 3 she does not want 2 go outside she just wants 2 play. she use 2 sleep all night but not anymore. she is very good all day just the night please help
If she used to sleep all night and you are sure she only wants to play, just ignore her! She might bark for a long time, but if you ignore her she will eventually shut up and go to sleep!!
If you get up, you are rewarding the barking and you are making it more likely to happen again!
we are ignoring her but i am thinking of the peole next door dont want them 2 report me arter 1 hour we go down

You're rewarding her and she will just continue. Speaking as somebody who HAS been reported by vindictive neighbours -let them report you! Rather have that than a dog that will continue like this for the rest of her life. After a few nights she will have learnt and will then stop, and so there will be nothing more any neighbours can do -nuisance barking has to be on an ongoing basis and you will have solved the problem. The neighbours would have more of a case if she continued to bark to wake you up every night, even if you stop her by going to her.
I agree with Goldmali.
If you let her bark for an hour and then go down, you are training her: "Bark for an hour and we will then come downstairs".
You are just going to have to ignore her. Maybe warn the neighbours that it's better for you all this way.

Has anything different happened to her daily routine that might make her less sleepy overnight?

You could always try going to see your neighbours and explaining the problems you're having and that her barking at night will hopefully only last until she gets the idea that you're not going down to her :)

I think you are just going to have to harden your heart and let her get on with it! At 6 months she won't need the same amount of sleep as a little tiny pup but provided you keep her occupied during the day she will need a whole night's sleep. You could also make sure she has a walk before bedtime just to help tire her out too.
It may well be that having learnt to go downstairs herself she's discovered just how nice upstairs is but if she's been happy to sleep alone downstairs up to now then she needs to get back into that habit. And as others have said, if you do go down to her after an hour, she'll happily bark for an hour. If you don't go down at all she'll soon pipe down when she realises it's getting her nowhere.
