Topic Dog Boards / Breeding / Bitch due to whelp, coughing
- By poppy [gb] Date 12.02.06 17:11 UTC
Hi, My girl is due to whelp in a few days and she seems to be coughing. I say seem because it started after she had eaten a meal.
My dogs have had K.C although it was a couple of years ago and this sounds very similar, as if there is something irritating her throat.
I have just spoken to my vet who has advised Benylin. I am worried sick as the pups are due, has anyone got any advise?
Are her puppies going to be o.k?

are you sure there isnt a little food caught or maybe it scratched her throat i know you dont want to upset her with only a few days to go but i would be making sure there isnt anything caught in her throat

I would do the same, maybe just hop down to the vet clinic and have them have a look, or does urs do house calls?

Thanks Slee and dollface.
Good news is the coughing stopped after a couple of hours.
Perhaps some food had scratched her throat? I was really worried that it was K.C:eek:
She is fine now:cool:
