one of my dogs has a perfect scissor bite but one of her canines is crooked, it goes in instead of out and is not seen when the jaws are closed. her other is fine. Would she be disqualified for this? i have only just realised looking through pics (whch were hard to find) that she does have the proper scissor its the canine thats the prob. Do dogs ever get shown like this? thanks

She wouldn't get disqualified, may lose a point or so in the final situation if a dog of equal quality was against her with a perfect mouth.  As she has a scissor bite and it's just one tooth I wouldn't worry too much.

Is she a bull breed ? it sounds a touch like inverted canines

shes a schnauzer and i always assumed she would be no good for showing! shes 18 months now would i be too late if i wanted to start? she hasnt been clipped, i use a coat king but im still not sure about how to hand strip. Also, could i breed from her?

She wouldn't get disqualified - only bad temperament can mean a dog being asked to leave the ring. A faulty mouth is a fault to be judged like all others - if it's a close decision her mouth will count against her.

laughing to meself here
When I first saw this topic, I thought 'crooked dog' never thought of canine as in teeth LOL

That's what I thought too :d :d  I thought that it had been pinching things etc.  I remember my friends SWD once without their knowledge pinched a lovely toy from a stall at a Champ. Show, nobody noticed until about half an hour later after they'd finished doing their shopping :d :d

Much will depend on the judge, if they look properly, if they notice and how they view it. Some will not both, others (like me) would penalise it very hard, dont show under European judges
