Hello would anyone have any experiance of buying small cheap plots of land in Kent. Tonbridge? Does anybody know of any land agents who sell land cheaply, as we are only looking for 1 acre max!! to use for our dogs, so no planning permission would be needed!! If anyone can help at all please either reply to this topic or email me at: abc_lou@fsmail.net THANKS!!

If land in Kent fetches the same premium as land in Sussex then "cheap" may be difficult unless you rent something currently set aside. A Google search might well produce the information you want too.

It is possible to get the land, they were selling plots near where I live for 12,000 for about 1/2 acre (no planning permission) which I personally wouldn't call cheap.  With this land the implication was that you could get planning permission in the future (not a hope ) so it would appeal to people who thought they would be getting a good investment.

Apart from that you do occaisionally get plots of agricultural land up for sale, you just have to keep a look out in the local press.

not only would land in kent be extremely expensive, even if no PP.......unless you have a tiny wee dog, then 1 acre isnt enough to excercise most breeds on!!!

I live in Tonbridge and a friend of mine tried to do this a couple of years ago.  She found any pieces of land that size were sold to developers for housing, much more profitable.

There are some lovely places here to exercise your dogs, have you tried the woods at Denne Park, they belong to the Forrestry Commission.  Easy parking and lots of walks.

Try putting 'Land agents kent' in to google. BVut like the others have said cheep is likley to be 10s of 1000s. We live a similar distance north of London and a plot of less than 1 acre reacently sold for around £30k without planning or water on the land.

try these people:

Fair few plots for sale in Kent last time I looked, but for an acre it won't be cheap - also you'd have to think about fencing costs unless your dogs have a reliable recall.

There are a couple of Companies selling land etc. One is called Ponypaddocks.co.uk the other is woodlands.co.uk I think, but I am sure Google can find them.
