but Willis, the leanest danie in history (we think he might be bulimic) has put on loads of weight on after eating... wait for it.... BAKERS Complete!
Now, I have to admit to being a bit of a dog food snob and have fed him on Tripe and Burns, Tripe and Naturediet, ND and Burns, Mince and Burns etc etc and even resorted to Pedigree Complete with no luck... but he just loves Bakers.
However, I will admit to being a little concerned that all the alleged colourings will make his *ADD* worse....but, if it works, I guess I'll have to run with it!
So, what norty foods does your dog eat that they really really shouldn't? :D He'll be buying cans of Chappie next - bad boy.

How strange you should post this.
I visited an old friend I hadn't seen for several years on Wednesday and she has a GSD who she said was skin and bone for four years until she tried her on Bakers complete, she has a lovely glossy coat and used to have a sensitive stomach which has now cleared up too.

Thats interesting - how long has she been on it?

I don't know exactly, but the way she spoke it was quite a recent discovery.

Mine
adore Gusto! They push and shove to get into the larder to have a go at the bag, whereas usually they stand back and wait. Tinned Chappie's always a winner!

Today's norty-food was when Piglet mugged two buzzards (nearly brought one of them down as it took off slowly!!

) and ate their kill!

Mine youngest helped him self to some thinly sliced sirloin left over from last night and prepared for eldest sons sandwiches. In eight years of dog ownership that's the first time anyone has ever taken something from the worksurface!
For some reason tuna wasn't the same according to eldest son.

Mine don't do norty food now (Tara has never stolen anything :D ). Bramble (having been a stray stole food sometimes, for about a year or two - now never steals) has stolen a variety of things - a box of liquer chocolates, several large boxes of chocolates (at the same time), about a dozen mince pies left to cool (he couldn't reach the other dozen), a frozen chicken kiev (can't remember anything else) :D :D

Kayla helped herself to a tub of Flora the other day, it was on the worktop, with lid on, she carefully removed said lid, licked out contents and the first I knew was when Idõ turned up in my room with the empty tub :D She did have the sense to pick the 'Light' version though, she's watching her wasitline at the mo :P

How's this for norty food... a pack of 10 blankd DVD's and the same in CD's that my TM wrecked the other day. He chewed the containers to bits and put teeth marks in every single disk! I wouldn't mind but I'd bought him a lovely juicy beef marrow bone that was waiting to defrost - I didn't know wether to let him have it to eat or wallop him on the head with it!
I must admit I wouldn't feed mine Bakers all the time, but my dear departed shar-pei was on James Wellbeloved Senior for a few years and when she was about 10 years old I thought she was on her last legs. She looked so old and skinny. My step sister gave me a box of Bakers Senior and little Tinkerbell looked like a different dog within a few days! Tink lived another year (though I did put her on Superdog Sensitive when the Bakers ran out) and my step sisters greyhound was on Bakers for years and died when she was 14... must be the artificial preservates. :D

Min once ate a box of Beef Suet
I won't describe the aftermath of the result on her digestive system
I found my puppy when she was about nine months old with her face in the sugar basin and her whiskers all frosted up she,d eaten all the sugar norty girl.

my dogs are terrible they always steal they have had loafs of bread, pots of butter, whole chickens, christmas pressies were the worst a whole boxs of chocs raped up. so glad they have strong stomacks

If I forget to move the Tesco's hot chicken (Bought for the cat!) before I leave for work, it is consumed bones and all and they've never suffered for it either!
