Hi

I have a nearly 5 month old girl dog and she loves chewing anything with fur from shoes to coats. I have a pair of fur boots but everytime she sees me wearing them she will start biting them. Other members in my family also have fur coats and shoes so she will constantly try and chew it. Please help any advice is welcome!!! One more thing is that when she gets to exicted she will wee will that pass??

Thank you

for the first 6 months of my pups life everything that he fancied that wasnt his was kept on shelves, shoes and all, and he had plenty of things he was allowed, they will be playful with whatever they fancy if it is left out for them.

She will grow out of it so in the mean time keep what you dont want chewing out of the way. Make sure she has plenty of toys she can chew and if she does have something she shouldnt distract her with treats or toys. Teach her the leave and let go commands so you can recover items from her.
As for the weeing problem - she will grow out of this too. In the meantime be calm around - stop games before she gets too hyper. Ignore her when you come in from being out until she calms down. My sister had a springer who did this and it did take a while for it to get better but it does eventually. :)

Hi, you are lucky it is just fur, perhaps being a pup she thinks it is another small animal she can play with. My boy has a.......wait for it........rubber fetish. Seriously, the first day i brought him home my baby niece who was 2 gave the new 'baby' her dummie, which he sucked on and for safety reasons like chokeing i took away from him. Now he is nuts on anything rubber. He chased my nan last week for her marigolds! I would also advise distraction techniques, they work with merlin, or should i say puppy whiplash.
