Does anyone use any software to produce pedigrees

Could you recommend a programme ?,Or do you produce your documents in another way? How do you keep records of the achievements of pups you have bred?

Sorry, lots of questions i know but we want to get this sorted soon.

Thanks

Helen

I've recently started designing my own.  I have a photo of my dogs which I change to a water mark and print that off on the paper and then I've designed my own pedigree just by merely looking at pedigrees on Internet sites and designing my own in a similar way.  I thought that it would be hard but it's quite easy actually and looks very professional!

It would have to be easy as about the most i can manage on the computer is this site and word!
Any tips?

I use Breedmate http://www.breedmate.com and you can do a lot with it as you learn to use it as well as simply keeping and printing pedigrees

when doing for my webpage i use sitstay.com s predigree generator, and for giving to puppy owners i always make up something using that, with pictures etc aswell, and order kc ones also, i dont know why i do both,i suppose its that i like to give them pics of the parents and other pups!

Thanks Lisa,

it was actually that advert in Dog World that got me started on this!
I looked on their site and thought it looked good and not too expensive so i thought i would ask what people on here used as i had nothing to compare the other stuff to. does that make sense?

Think that our dogs seems best so far as we aren't going to have loads of litters ,so i don't think we need software if we can get templates.

Cheers for the help everyone!

I use a tenplate created in Word, you can have it if you want.

I use Breeders' Assistant for pedigree records but have never bothered to use it for printing out pedigrees for pups. I prefer my own MS Word template for that.

Hi Helen,

If by 'records of achievements' you mean show results? I have a spreadsheet with a different page for each dog, and record the date, type, name and location of the show, the class entered and the judge, the number of dogs in the class, what won the class and where my dog was placed. :-)

Thanks for all your help.
If i had a pedigree on the web site and printed it off, would all the graphics print as well? Obviously using a colour printer.
