Hi- thought i'd vent my frustrations-
a lady called ages ago to book in her 12wk beagle x keltie! whilst on phone she told me that she can never get the dog in house-always in garden as he was farm bred and used to being outdoors all times.
so i told her it wasnt safe to let him do this- as she lived on a very busy estate, also said that he's a pup and needs socialisation and to be brought inside so he isnt alone in garden all time. she didnt have a clue and didnt really know what to do, she booked him in for vaccinations- anyway never turned up. didnt think more of it...
today she called me- oh ive got a new dog and need to book him, i got rid of the old pup- he went back to farm, he was too mad. I enquired about the new 'toy'- its 2 year old male uncastrated rottie from midlands- she had no info with him at all. she also has young kids. Makes me so angry that people actually home these dogs with these people.
Im dreading seeing this rottie and his new incompetant (sp) owner, think i will just go hide, and bite my tongue.
gggggrrrrrrrr...........

It's a pity there isn't some sort of anti-stupid vaccination you could slip to the owner at the same time. The sort that doesn't need a booster...;)
But seriously, you can't help but fear for the sanity of all concerned. Not least the 2-year old Rottie!

lol @ Roz - if only there was an anti-stupidity vaccination then the world would be a better place but champdogs wouldn't be as much fun!

I could never do your job, my tongue would be flapping like mad! :-D And those cold stares would be burning from my eyes.

As much as I love animals, I could never deal with the people, I would be sacked I'm afraid. :-(

the amount of people you see on the internet wanting to trade dogs which are under a year old, for a new puppy, so they can screw that one up too!

Next best to an anti-stupidity vaccination could be castration for the owners too so they don't go on to breed more offspring!!
