Hi Mollaholland, 6 of those yankee things have taken up residence in my house. Very cuddly but lots of hard work with a hairdrier, so I sheared three of them, little black lambs they are, but they can gambol in the woods and fields like proper gundogs now.
We've got one, lovely chap. Must go and brush him - OH took him for long walk and he's a real state now! :-) At least the Cavs are tidy as they had a show today.
oh my good 6 cockers do u keep them all in full coats i really wanted to get one when i herd of them thought they were lovely looking but when i got my first one in for grooming and he took me three hours to do i have kinda gone off the idea to something with out a such thick coat i groom a couple of them got one called walter who comes in to my parlor he was actually brought over from america and he has a smaller head that the ones that have been bread in england he is a nice boy tho once u get to know him he lives with an english cocker called paddy sweet boys
No, I have three that are clipped off. I would love to have them all in full coat, as I prefer the look, but it's just not practical. As it is I spend all weekend bathing and grooming just to keep 3 of them in good condition. The clipped ones only need that much every couple of months, and they can go out in the fields every day with my Irish Setter.:) The full coated ones go on cleaner walks most days and can get wet, dirty and twiggy when their bath is due.
